Bryan McCrystal
In only his third year in the sport, Bryan is making a big impact in his home nation of Ireland. Bryan is coached remotely by TBC Master Coach Rob Griffiths, who says that "Bryan is someone who could have played any sport and excelled at it". Luckily for us he chose triathlon - coming from a professional footballing background, playing for Leeds United. Over the last three years, he has developed into a very strong cyclist and his running and swimming are consistently improving.
This year, Bryan won Gold in his age group at the European Champs in Athlone and completed IM70.3 in Antwerp, coming 23rd overall - in a time of 4:07, qualifying for the 70.3 World Champs in Clearwater later this year.
