Nick has been a competitive Triathlete since 1991, starting as a junior at East Grinstead Tri Club, and has since raced at all distances from sprint to Ironman, now focusing on Olympic and Half Ironman distance, and mountain bike racing.
He has been a triathlon coach since 2003, quickly rising to become the Head Triathlon Coach at East Grinstead in 2004. He is now a coach with Thames Turbo Triathlon Club, and is a level 3 personal trainer and sports massage therapist.
He is an experienced in Open Water swimming coach on and has coached under the guidance of UK elite athlete Richard Stannard. He is a registered Racermate Computrainer coach and also has a wealth of knowledge in the subject of power meters, coaching, bike fitting and power meter analysis.
Nick has worked as a Regional Development Coach for the South East and currently runs Novice courses for clubs in the south east region. He has worked with GB & Elite athletes, and physiotherapists involved in injury rehab. He is currently writing a book on Ironman Triathlon, with input from a well respected Sports Nutritionist and Sports Psychologist, and is working on a Swim Drills technique book for front crawl swimming.
Nick is committed to helping athletes reach their goals, through attributes such as encouragement, support and his own knowledge and experience of the discipline. Athletes will benefit from his structured approach to training which coupled with his enthusiasm \'for the sport\' provides an athlete centred program, where athlete feedback and involvement of both parties is pivotal to success. Nick\'s coaching philosophy \'therefore\' ensures continued and consistent improvement for his athletes.
